Gun safety is always the top priority. To ensure safety, it is important to clear the pistol by unloading it, checking it, and disassembling it into its various components such as the lower receiver, slide, barrel, and spring.

During the installation process, limit the work to the slide only and make sure that the workspace is completely free of live ammunition at all times. These basic safety measures must always be adhered to.

Installations Instructions

Caution: Avoid applying excessive torque. If you encounter difficulty while threading the screw, cease the operation and seek assistance from a certified gunsmith or instructor to prevent any harm to the slide/plate or avoid over-tightening the screws.

We recommend using a Wheeler Manual Torque Wrench.

Upon Opening your new Aegis system, ensure all items listed above are included in the box. Select the bags marked “Aegis plate”, “Plate screws” and “- Blue Loctite 242”. Before mounting the plate, ensure that the area is wiped down with a lint free cloth to remove dirt, debris, and oil. Position the plate where the thin bridge is forward and straddles the firing pin. Apply a small amount of blue lock tight to the last few threads of the screws and tighten the screws to 12 In/Lbs with the include T8 bit and a torque indicating screwdriver. Wipe up any excess lock tight.

Find the bags marked “T10 Bit” and “SRO Screws” or “Holosun Screws”. Mount your optic to the plate and ensure there is no gap between the optic and plate. Due to some manufacturing tolerances it may be required to press the optic to the plate. Apply a small amount of blue lock tight to the last few threads of the screws and tighten with the supplied T10 bit and a torque indicating screwdriver to 12 In/Lbs. wipe up any lock tight.

GEN 6 Glock use 20 In / LBS

Find the bag marked “Aegis shroud”, “Shroud screws” and the T8 bit. Take the shroud and line up the 2 rear holes to the 2 rear threaded mounts on the plate. Apply a small drop of lock tight to both screws and tighten into the threads with the T8 bit to 7 In/Lbs. Wipe up any residual lock tight. Allow 24 hours for the lock tight to throughly dry before use.
